Planning the weekend, Albuquerque is 20 mins from Edgewood which has 75 hotels or here are hotels that are 10 minute and 4 minutes from the festival.

The us southwest soaring museum is one of only two museums in the united states that is dedicated to Gliding/ soaring, sailplanes and related aircraft.  

Museum Tour Adults $7.50 Seniors (60+) $6.50 Youth (7-18) $4.50 Children 6 and under FREE

SUMMER HOURS May - October The museum is open Monday through Saturday 9AM to 4PM or by appointment.

Cedro peak camping sites - robin and jay

Cedro Peak Camping Sites is a favorite area in the southern portion of the Sandia Ranger District. It is encompassed by ponderosa pine, pinon and juniper trees. Both Cedro Peak camping sites are fully accessible and have plenty of parking. Jay site has a circular turn around drive for those who might bring a small travel trailer.
